- Apostles Lent – We are now in the season of Lent of the Holy Apostles. Let us spend time in reading the scriptures, in fasting as well as prayer. Holy Qurbana for the end of the fast and for the celebration the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul will be held on Thursday, June 28th at 6:30 pm.
- Blood Drive –The blood drive was held here, at the church, yesterday and people from this parish as well as the community came out to donate. Around 17 pints of blood were collected which could save up to 51 lives! Special thanks to all those who came to donate and volunteer!
- Basketball Tournament – The STYL Presents: Anil John Memorial Basketball Tournament is coming up on Saturday, June 30th at Island Garden Gym. As every year, the success of this event is due to the combined efforts of not only the youth and FOCUS, but also the parents, so the presence and support of all church members are kindly requested.
- MGOCSM Meeting – The next MGOCSM meeting will be held this Friday, June 22nd at 5:30pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Shibu & Sumini Thomas. All youth members are kindly requested to attend.
- Hadootho – The Philadelphia area MGOCSM is hosting Hadootho, a 3-day camp, at the Holy Transfiguration Retreat Center from July 4th – 7th. The theme for this year’s camp is “Trust the Process” and it will be led by the main speaker, Rev. Fr. Mat Alexander. The cost for this camp is $125 and registration must be completed online by June 30th. For more information please see Ms. Sonia Joseph or Mr. Joshua Mathew.

- Centralized Exams – Centralized exams for grades 5, 8, 10 and TTC exams will be held on next week (6/24) at St. Gregorios church Cherry Lane, Floral Park.
- Area OVBS – Students who are still interested to participate in Diocese area OVBS contact Principal/Asst. Principal, which will be on July 11 to 13th at Our Lady of Lourdes RC church, Queens Village.
- Half-Yearly Dues – Just a friendly reminder that first six months of the year are almost over, please see the Treasurer to review any outstanding dues.
- Monthly Committee Meeting – we will having our monthly committee meeting this Saturday, June 23rd at 4pm. All committee members are kindly requested to attend.

- Passing of Mrs. Rahelamma Varghese – With great sadness we regret to inform of the passing of Mrs. Rahelamma Varghese, the mother of Mrs. Elizabeth Panicker and Mr. Solomon Varghese. She is survived by her nine children and their families. The funeral service will be conducted next Tuesday in India. Please keep the bereaving family in your prayers.

- MGOCSM Virtual Meeting – In order to address the questions which were not able to be answered at the Aramana visit due to limited time, we will be having a meeting via Google Hangout this Friday June 1st at 7 pm. The cost for bus and ticket fare is $94 for adults and $64 for children and money is requested by June 24th the latest.
- Next Sunday Change in Schedule – May 20th: Since next Sunday we will be celebrating the Feast of Pentecost, morning prayer will begin at 7:30am. All are requested to attend service on a timely manner.
- PI John’s Book – if any church members did not receive a copy of Mr. P I Johns book, please give your names to Dr. Joshi John to receive a book. This is for all church families whether you came to the function or not.
- Feast of Ascension – we will be celebrating the Feast of Ascension on this coming Wednesday, May 9th. Evening Prayer will start at 6:30PM, followed by Holy Qurbana.

- Feast of St. George – We will be celebrating the Feast of St. George is next Sunday, May 6th. Various members have already offered as nercha, appam & curry. If anyone else wishes to offer a donation please see the Treasurer.
- Feast of Ascension – we will be celebrating the Feast of Ascension on Wednesday, May 9th. Evening Prayer will start at 6:30PM, followed by Holy Qurbana.
- Area FOCUS Fellowship – On Friday, May 4th we will be hosting the a meeting of the areawide FOCUS at St. Gregorios Elmont. The meeting will be from 6:30pm-9:30pm. Please see the flyer for more details.

- Metropolitan Episcopal Consecration Jubilee Banquet — The Northeast American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church will be hosting a banquet for the Episcopal Silver Jubilee of our beloved Metropolitan, His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos. The formal banquet will be held on the evening of Sunday, August 26, 2018, at The Green Tree Country Club, located at 538 Davenport Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10805. His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, Catholicos of the East & Malankara Metropolitan, will preside over the celebrations. Esteemed leaders from the ecumenical community will also be present on this joyous occasion.

- Sunday School Teacher Conference/Training — Our church will be hosting a combined Teachers Conference/OVBS Teachers/Volunteers training next Saturday, April 21st, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Conference Theme: “The role of a Sunday School Teacher in molding our children in Orthodox faith and praxis” based on Ephesians 4:11 “
- All teachers and youth members are requested to attend and participate.
- N.E. American Diocese Summer Camp for Middle School Children — The Northeast American Diocese is hosting its first ever Summer Camp for Middle School Children (ages 10-14). The theme of the camp will be “Agni: Ablaze for the Lord” and the Verse: taken from St. Luke 12:49 – “I have come to set the world on fire”.
- The camp will be held at HTRC from Thursday, August 9th – Saturday, August 11th. The registration fee will be $100 per child. Please see the Sunday School Principal or Assistant Principal for details.
