- The Feast of Lord’s Entry into The Temple(Mayaltho) – The Feast will be celebrated next Saturday, Feb. 2nd and Holy Qurbana will start at
8am. All members are kindly requested to attend. - Basketball Tournament Meeting– The first meeting for this year’s basketball tournament will be held next Sunday after Sunday School in the balcony. All youth members are encouraged to attend this meeting and actively participate in the planning of this event.

- Upcoming Charity Drives – They are planning to continue to donate care supplies (toothpaste, toothbrush cream and such) for Valentines Day. In March there will be a food drive they are looking for grains, oil, pasta
and such items to feed the less fortunate. Anyone interested can donate towards the cause. - MMVS Membership – MMVS has a membership fee of $25, all members are requested to give this as soon as possible.

- MGOCSM Thanksgiving Conference — The Annual MGOCSM Thanksgiving Conference will be held on Saturday, November 24th at St. Gregorios Valley Stream from 10 AM- 5 PM. Registration is $10 and may be completed online.
- Winter Summit — As announced previously, this year’s Winter Summit for college and post-graduate students will be held at the Holy Transfiguration Retreat Center from December 26th – 29th. The absolute last day to register is this Wednesday, November 14th. Fees for the camp are now $150 and registration must be completed online. For more information please see Ms. Angel Sunny.
- Vans from Queens/Nassau Area for Evening Prayer — We are thinking about starting a van service to bring members to evening prayer on Saturdays. If you are interested please give your name to Dr. Sunil George. If there is enough demand for this service we will make arrangements for this regularly.
- FOCUS Meeting — There will be a FOCUS Meeting next Friday, Nov. 16th at 7 pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Alex Abraham. All FOCUS members are kindly requested to attend.
- 2018 Christmas Caroling — As announced last week, this year’s Christmas Caroling will take place the weekend of Dec. 15th. As we get closer to the date we will announce which areas are being covered on which day.
2nd Christmas Caroling Practice – The next Christmas Carol Practice will be held on next Saturday, 11/17 at 4:30 pm. All members are requested to attend to make it a success.

- Paint Night —The FOCUS and MGOCSM will be hosting a paint night in the auditorium this Friday, October 5th at 7 pm. Participants can either paint a large canvas for $20, small canvas for $10, or a craft pumpkin for $5 and all proceeds will be donated to the CROP walk. There are limited supplies so please register online or see Ms. Leslie Babukutty as soon as possible.

- Metropolitan’s Silver Jubilee — The banquet we had planned to honor our Nicholovos Thirumeni’s Episcopal Jubilee was postponed. The new date is Saturday, November 17th (11 am – 3 pm). His Holiness Baselios Mar Thoma Paulose II will bless the occasion. It will also be attended by dignitaries from our sister churches. Tickets for the banquet are $100. To purchase a ticket please contact the Secretary.
- Male Cantors Group — The parish will be starting a male cantors group. If any men or boys wish to participate please submit your name in the office.
- Kerala Flood Disaster Relief Fund — Anyone that has signed up for the Kerala Flood Relief effort see the Treasurer to give your contribution, the list of contributions is posted downstairs. We will be sending all the money collected tomorrow.
- MMVS and MGOCSM donations — Through the bake sale held three weeks ago, the MMVS was able to raise $870 for the Kerala relief fund and the MGOCSM collected $200. Special thanks to everyone who took the time to make food for the sale and also to those who supported these efforts.

- School Supply Drive — Special thanks to all those who supported the school supply drive. Through your efforts and donations, we were able to give over 270 items to the Glen Cove Youth Bureau to be used by children in need this school year.

- Holy Trinity Orthodox Church Festival — Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of East Meadow is holding its annual Faith, Food & Fellowship Festival on Saturday, Sept. 1st from 10 am to 6 pm. They have invited our parish to attend the festival, and all who are interested are kindly asked to attend.

- MGOCSM & FOCUS trip — Members will be taking a trip to the Monastery of Saint Dionysios the Areopagite next Saturday, August 25th. A link for the event with details will be sent out on the GroupMe for both FOCUS and Youth. All members are invited to attend this spiritual outing.
- Lancaster Trip — The trip to Sight and Sound theater in Lancaster will be this Tuesday, August 21st. Breakfast will be provided at the church and all participants are asked to arrive at church no later than 7:30 in the morning so that we may leave on time. Everyone is also encouraged to wear the maroon church t-shirt. As noted earlier, fees collected did not include the cost of lunch and so all are kindly reminded to bring either cash or credit with them.
- MMVS Annual Conference — The MMVS annual conference will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2018, at St. Thomas Orthodox Church Philadelphia, Unruh Ave. The registration and the bus fare is $50.
