Feast of the Dormition of St. Mary – we will be celebrating Holy Qurbana for the Feast of Dormition of St. Mary on August 14th at 6:30PM. All members are kindly requested to make arrangements to attend.
Buffalo Wild Wings Fundraiser – The youth is arranging a fundraiser with Buffalo Wild Wings in Westbury. 10% of all food sales from 4-10 pm on Monday August 19th will go towards the church. The flyer will be posted on the website and available in church next week.
School Supply Drive – The youth will be collecting school supplies this month to donate to those in need through the Glen Cove Youth Bureau. Kindly support this drive by placing new supplies in the box downstairs.
OVBS – As announced previously, our church OVBS will be held this upcoming Friday from 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 1pm to 7:30 pm. All Sunday School children, teachers and volunteers are kindly requested to arrive on time both days.
Council of Indian Orthodox Churches Convention – will be held from August 23rd-25th at the auditorium of Our Lady of Snows Roman Catholic Church. All members are kindly requested to make arrangements to attend.
2019 Graduates – All students who graduated from highschool or college in 2019 are requested to submit their names in the office.
MMVS Annual Conference – will be held on October 12th at St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, 1009 Unruh Ave, Philadelphia. The registration fee for the conference is $20, and our parish will be subsidizing the transportation fee. Those who are interested should contact Mary Varghese, Sandya Thomas, and Usha Sam.
Dormition Lent – the Dormition Lent is being observed from August 1st-15th. All members are kindly requested to observe.

Car Wash – The MGOCSM and FOCUS are working together to organize a car wash and sale in order to fundraise for the parish. It will be held on Sunday, August 18th from 1 to 5 pm. All church members are requested to support this venture in order to ensure its success. There will be food items for sale as well as clothing or household items in good condition. Anil John Memorial Basketball Tournament 2019- We are less than two weeks away from the STYL Presents: Anil John Memorial Basketball Tournament which will be held on Saturday July 13th at Island Garden Basketball Gym. As mentioned in weeks past, all church members are encouraged to attend and support this event. Youth members are requested to please return any outstanding tickets or collected money this Sunday.

MMVS Diabetics Education Seminar – the MMVS is conducting an informational seminar on diabetics education on June 15th @ 4pm at the church. They will be going over the basics of the disease and how to manage it.
MMVS Charity Drive – MMVS is doing a charity drive and working with The Safe Center in Bethpage. They are collecting kitchen essentials (pots and pans) in good condition, household cleaning supplies, ladies unused bags, non perishable foods and books. There are boxes in the basement where the supplies can be dropped off. Please check with MMVS members for more information.
Sunday School Assigned Competition – the church level assigned competition will be held on on June 23rd. All sunday school students are encouraged to participate, all topics are posted downstairs. Please see Principal or Asst. Principal for more details.
End of Sunday School Year – Next Sunday, June 9th is the last day of Sunday School. Final Exams will be held on June 16th.
AGNI Middle School Camp – Northeast American Diocese will host “AGNI: Ablaze for the Lord” camp for Middle School students from August 8-10, 2019 at Holy Transfiguration Retreat Center.
