Feast of Martyrdom of St. Thomas – will be celebrated next Saturday, Dec. 21st. Holy Qurbana will start at 8AM. All members are kindly requested to attend.
Altar Server’s Meeting- There will be a meeting for all Altar Servers on Saturday, December 21st at 3:30pm at our church. All Altar Servers are kindly requested to attend.
Sunday School – On Sunday, December 22nd, we will be celebrating all December birthdays for Sunday School children.
MGOCSM Meeting– There will be an MGOCSM meeting at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Vinod Abraham on Sunday December 22nd at 4 pm. All youth members are kindly requested to attend and bring their Qurbana kramam.

2019 Talent Show – The date for annual talent show is December 29th at 3pm. The Talent Show is open to all parishioners who are interested in participating. Council of Indian Orthodox Churches Combined Christmas & New Years Program – will be held on Jan. 5th at Glen Oaks HS at 4pm. All members are requested to attend.

Christmas Caroling – Next Saturday 12/14 will be the last day of Christmas Caroling.We will meet at the home of Mr. Abraham K. Yohannan & Mrs. Rosemary Yohannan at 8:30AM and the vans will leave from there by 8:45AM.

Passing of Mrs. Santhamma Korah – the sister-in-law of Mr. George Mathew on Friday in India. The funeral will be taking place next week at St. Thomas Church, Chennai. Please keep the bereaved family in your prayers.

MGOCSM Missions Raffle- As announced previously, the MGOCSM is selling raffle tickets for $10 to fundraise for the missions trip. Today is the last day to purchase tickets, so kindly see Ms. Ruth Abraham or Mr. Swagath Thomas to purchase one and support the missions trip today.

Flu Shot Clinic– We will be hosting a flu shot clinic in conjunction with Walgreens after service on Sunday November 3rd. Anyone who has not yet been vaccinated can receive the flu shot for free that day. In order to assure we have enough supplies we kindly request that you sign up in advance if you need the vaccine. Passing of Mrs. Kunjamma Mathai – the mother of Mr. George P. Mathai and Mr. Samuel P. Mathai yesterday in India. She was 97 years old. The family will be traveling to India this week for the funeral on Thursday. Please keep the bereaved family in your prayers.

Breaking the Silence – The MGOCSM, MMVS and GROW ministries of the Brooklyn Queens Long Island Area present Breaking the Silence, a mental health awareness workshop addressing stress and anxiety. It will be held Saturday, October 19th from 9 am to 3 pm at St. Gregorios Elmont church. Registration is $10 and can be completed online. Car Wash – Two weeks ago, the FOCUS hosted a car wash and bazaar fundraiser. Special thanks to all those who made food or donated their valuables to sell, those who spent hours washing cars, and especially to Mrs. Sini Jablonski, FOCUS secretary, for leading this event. Through these efforts, the FOCUS was able to fundraise over $2,000 for the parish.
Sandwich Sale – Next Sunday the youth will be hosting a sandwich fundraiser in the basement after service. Sandwiches will be only $5 and meals for $8. Everyone is kindly requested to support and youth members who are available to help assemble sandwiches are asked to please come to church on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
GROW Roundtable – On Saturday, 9/28 from 9am-12pm, the GROW BQLI Roundtable will host Part 2 of their “Wonder Women” faith series at St. Gregorios Cherry Lane Church. The focus will be on exploring life stories and lessons from strong women of the Bible/saints. This will be a great opportunity to learn about exemplary women such as Ruth, Deborah, Esther and their parallels to our lives. Lijin (Kochamma) Thomas will be the main speaker.
