- Christmas Caroling – we are finished with the Christmas Caroling for 2019!! We wanted to thank all the participants of Christmas Caroling (carolers, drummers, instrument players, Santa), and most importantly all the people that welcomed us into their homes. - Feast of Martyrdom of St. Thomas – will be celebrated next Saturday, Dec. 21st. Holy Qurbana will start at 8AM. All members are kindly requested to attend.
- Altar Server’s Meeting- There will be a meeting for all Altar Servers on Saturday, December 21st at 3:30pm at our church. All Altar Servers are kindly requested to attend.
- Sunday School – On Sunday, December 22nd, we will be celebrating all December birthdays for Sunday School children.

Weekly Announcements – 12/08/19
- Christmas Caroling – Next Saturday 12/14 will be the last day of Christmas Caroling. We will meet at the home of Mr. Abraham K. Yohannan & Mrs. Rosemary Yohannan at 8:30AM and the vans will leave from there by 8:45AM.
- FYC 2020 – will take place from July 15 to July 18th at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City. Please see the flyer below for more details.
- FOCUS Meeting – the next FOCUS Meeting will take place on Friday, Dec 13th at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Alex Abraham at 6pm.

- Christmas Caroling – we will be starting Christmas Caroling next Saturday, 12/7. We will meet at the home of Mr. Abraham K. Yohannan & Mrs. Rosemary Yohannan at 8:30AM and the bus will leave at 8:45AM. The first home we visit will be Valiya Achen’s house. All carolers are asked to arrive promptly to leave with the bus.

- Passing of Mrs. Santhamma Korah – the sister-in-law of Mr. George Mathew on Friday in India. The funeral will be taking place next week at St. Thomas Church, Chennai. Please keep the bereaved family in your prayers.
- Monthly Committee Meeting – there is a monthly scheduled Committee Meeting next Sunday, Dec. 1st.
- Thanksgiving Potluck – The annual youth and FOCUS Thanksgiving potluck will be held this Friday November 29th, 6:30 pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Sini Jablonski. Please refer to the sign up sheet posted on GroupMe and sign up as soon as possible.
- MGOCSM Annual Thanksgiving Conference – The MGOCSM of the NE American Diocese will be holding its one day conference next Saturday, Nov. 30th at St. Stephen’s Orthodox Church of Midland Park, NJ from 8:30AM to 5PM. The main speaker for the conference will Dn. Alexander (Pradeep) Hatcher. MGOCSM members please see the website for more details on how you can register.
- MGOCSM Missions Raffle- As announced previously, the MGOCSM is selling raffle tickets for $10 to fundraise for the missions trip. Today is the last day to purchase tickets, so kindly see Ms. Ruth Abraham or Mr. Swagath Thomas to purchase one and support the missions trip today.
- MGOCSM Meeting – There will be a youth meeting next Sunday, December 1st, 4 pm, at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Vinod Abraham. All MGOCSM members are requested to attend.
- Christmas Caroling Practice – we will be having our second Christmas Caroling practice on Nov. 16th after Evening Prayer. All members are requested to participate.
- MGOCSM Elections– The MGOCSM elections will be held on Sunday November 17th immediately after service on the balcony. All youth members are requested to attend, especially if they are interested in serving on the committee next year.
- Children’s Movie Night– The FOCUS and youth will be hosting a holiday movie night for the children on Saturday November 16th at 3:30 pm. All young children and youth are encouraged to participate! Please see Mrs. Sini Jablonski or Ms. Angel Sunny for more information.

- Sunday, November 17th – We will be celebrating all November birthdays following class that day.
- Sunday, November 24th – In lieu of regular classes, there will be a “Sunday School Crafts Day,” for all the Sunday School children. All Sunday School children are requested to be present.
- Passing of Mrs. Chinamma John – the mother of Mr. Yohannan Thomas in India. She was 94 years old. Please keep the bereaved family in your prayers.

- Passing of Mr. Alexander Thomas – the father of Mrs. Susan Joseph passed earlier this week in India. He was 80 years old. Please keep the bereaved family in your prayers.
- Flu Shot Clinic– We will be hosting a flu shot clinic in conjunction with Walgreens after service on Sunday November 3rd. Anyone who has not yet been vaccinated can receive the flu shot for free that day. In order to assure we have enough supplies we kindly request that you sign up in advance if you need the vaccine. Please see Mr. Joshua Mathew or Mrs. Sini Jablonski for more information and to sign up at your earliest.

- Passing of Mrs. Kunjamma Mathai – the mother of Mr. George P. Mathai and Mr. Samuel P. Mathai yesterday in India. She was 97 years old. The family will be traveling to India this week for the funeral on Thursday. Please keep the bereaved family in your prayers.
- MMVS Annual Conference – the annual MMVS will be taking place next Saturday, Oct 12th, at our parish. Please reach out to the MMVS members to see how you can assist on the day.
- CROP Walk – The annual Church World Service’s CROP walk against hunger will be held on Saturday, October 12th at Eisenhower Park. Please see Mrs. Sini Jablonski for more information or view the link on the website to join the team.
- Breaking the Silence – The MGOCSM, MMVS and GROW ministries of the Brooklyn Queens Long Island Area present Breaking the Silence, a mental health awareness workshop addressing stress and anxiety. It will be held Saturday, October 19th from 9 am to 3 pm at St. Gregorios Elmont church. Registration is $10 and can be completed online.
