MGOCSM Drive — The MGOCSM is hosting a drive to support Kids Change the World, an organization that works to support young children in need around the world. Please place children’s books and plastic grocery bags you would like to donate in the marked box downstairs.
MGOCSM Meeting — The next youth meeting will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018, 5:30 pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Sunny P. Chacko. All youth members (ages 13 – 22) are kindly requested to attend.
MGOCSM Thanksgiving Conference — The Annual MGOCSM Thanksgiving Conference will be held on Saturday, November 24th at St. Gregorios Valley Stream from 10 AM- 5 PM. Registration is $10 and may be completed online.
Winter Summit Registration — This year’s Winter Summit for college and post-graduate members will be held from December 26th – 29th at the Holy Transfiguration Retreat Center. The last day to register for this conference will be this Thursday, November 1st.

CROP Hunger Walk — We are one week away from this year’s CROP Hunger walk which will be held on Saturday, October 13th, 10 AM, at Eisenhower Park. MGOCSM meeting — The next youth meeting will be held on next Friday, October 12th, 5:30 pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Shibu & Sumini Thomas. All youth members are requested to attend.
Metropolitan’s Silver Jubilee — The Banquet we had planned to honor our Nicholovos Thirumeni’s Episcopal Jubilee was postponed. The new date is Saturday, November 17th (11 am – 3 pm). His Holiness Baselios Mar Thoma Paulose II will bless the occasion. It will also be attended by dignitaries from our sister churches. Tickets for the banquet are $100. To purchase a ticket please contact the Secretary.
Male Cantors Group — The parish will be starting a male cantors group. If any men or boys wish to participate please submit your name in the office.

- Paint Night —The FOCUS and MGOCSM will be hosting a paint night in the auditorium this Friday, October 5th at 7 pm. Participants can either paint a large canvas for $20, small canvas for $10, or a craft pumpkin for $5 and all proceeds will be donated to the CROP walk. There are limited supplies so please register online or see Ms. Leslie Babukutty as soon as possible.

- School Supply Drive — Special thanks to all those who supported the school supply drive. Through your efforts and donations, we were able to give over 270 items to the Glen Cove Youth Bureau to be used by children in need this school year.

- Holy Trinity Orthodox Church Festival — Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of East Meadow is holding its annual Faith, Food & Fellowship Festival on Saturday, Sept. 1st from 10 am to 6 pm. They have invited our parish to attend the festival, and all who are interested are kindly asked to attend.

- Silver Jubilee Celebration — The Northeast American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church will be hosting a banquet for the Episcopal Silver Jubilee of our beloved Metropolitan, His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos. The formal banquet will be held on the evening of Sunday, August 26, 2018 at The Greentree Country Club, located at 538 Davenport Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10805 at 5pm. - BQLI Martura – The MGOCSM of Brooklyn/Queens/LI will be hosting the fourth annual Martura summer conference at this church on August 10th & 11th from 9:30AM to 5PM. As part of a charity activity that will take place at the conference, there is a bake sale in the auditorium today after service.

Softball tournament — Last Sunday our church softball team won first place in the St. John’s Softball League. They have been traveling for games as part of this tournament for many weeks and this is the third year they have won.

- Passing of Mr. K.O. Thomas – With great sadness we regret to inform of the passing of Mr. K.O. Thomas, the father of Mr. Thomas K. Thomas. The funeral service will be conducted in India. Please keep the bereaving family in your prayers.
- Sunday School/OVBS – Sunday School Area 2 OVBS will be held on July 11th, 12th, & 13th from 8AM to 3:30PM at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church School, 92-96 220th St., Queens Village, NY 11428.

- Memorial Service of Mr. P.I. John – There will be a memorial service for Mr. P.I. John next Sunday, July 15th. Lunch will be provided by the family. All are invited to attend.
- Passing of Mr. P.I. John – Mr. P.I John passed away last Tuesday, June 19th, and funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 23rd. Please keep the bereaving family in your prayers.
- Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul – Holy Qurbana for the end of the fast and to celebrate the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul will be held on Thursday, June 28th at 6:30 pm.
- Basketball Tournament – The STYL Presents: Anil John Memorial Basketball Tournament is coming up next Saturday at Island Garden Gym. As every year, the success of this tournament is due to the combined efforts of not only the youth and FOCUS, but also the parents, so the presence and support of all church members are kindly requested.
- Tournament Meeting – The day before the tournament, Friday, June 29th, there will be a meeting at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Cherian Abraham at 7 pm. This will be our last meeting before the actual tournament so it is especially important that all youth members make an effort to attend.
- STYL BBQ – As every year, we will be having a youth barbecue the day after the tournament. This year it will be at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Juby Thomas on Sunday, July 1st at 2 pm.
- Parish Perunal – Our Parish Perunal will be held on Friday, July 6th and Saturday, July 7th. Friday evening we will be having evening prayer followed by a devotional address. Saturday morning at 8 am we will begin morning prayer followed by Holy Qurbana. All are requested to attend.
- 2018 Parish Picnic – This year’s picnic will be held on Saturday, July 14th, 2018 at Belmont State Park. We encourage all members to participate on this day of fellowship.
