Martura – The MGOCSM of Brooklyn/Queens/LI will be hosting the fourth annual Martura summer conference at this church on August 10th & 11th from 9:30AM to 5PM. The main speaker for this year’s conference is Rev. Fr. Geevarghese John. Registration is $10 for one day and $15 for both days and may be completed online at: tinyurl.com/Martura2018. Since the conference will be hosted at this parish, all MGOCSM members are especially encouraged to attend. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the event please see Mr. Joshua Mathew or Ms. Sonia Joseph.

Monthly Committee Meeting – There will be the monthly scheduled committee meeting next Sunday, after church. All committee members are kindly requested to attend.
Episcopal Visit – Next Sunday, our Diocesan Metropolitan, His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos will be conducting Holy Qurbana.

- 2018 Parish Picnic – Yesterday we held our annual picnic at Belmont Lake State Park. It was a great day of fellowship, fun, and food. Special thanks to Mr. Arun Joseph, Ms. Emily George, Mr. Manoj Varghese and everyone who spent hours preparing and cooking the food and making arrangements so that we could all get together and enjoy one another’s company.

- Passing of Mr. K.O. Thomas – With great sadness we regret to inform of the passing of Mr. K.O. Thomas, the father of Mr. Thomas K. Thomas. The funeral service will be conducted in India. Please keep the bereaving family in your prayers.
- Sunday School/OVBS – Sunday School Area 2 OVBS will be held on July 11th, 12th, & 13th from 8AM to 3:30PM at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church School, 92-96 220th St., Queens Village, NY 11428.
- FOCUS/ MGOCSM Meeting – There will be a joint MGOCSM and FOCUS meeting this upcoming Friday, July 13th at 6:30 pm at the church. All are kindly requested to attend.
- 2018 Parish Picnic – This year’s picnic will be held on Saturday, July 14th, 2018 at Belmont State Park. We encourage all members to please arrive before 10am, wearing the maroon church t-shirt and to participate on this day of fellowship.
- Memorial Service of Mr. P.I. John – There will be a memorial service for Mr. P.I. John next Sunday, July 15th. Lunch will be provided by the family. All are invited to attend.
- Passing of Mr. P.I. John – Mr. P.I John passed away last Tuesday, June 19th, and funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 23rd. Please keep the bereaving family in your prayers.
- Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul – Holy Qurbana for the end of the fast and to celebrate the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul will be held on Thursday, June 28th at 6:30 pm.
- Basketball Tournament – The STYL Presents: Anil John Memorial Basketball Tournament is coming up next Saturday at Island Garden Gym. As every year, the success of this tournament is due to the combined efforts of not only the youth and FOCUS, but also the parents, so the presence and support of all church members are kindly requested.
- Tournament Meeting – The day before the tournament, Friday, June 29th, there will be a meeting at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Cherian Abraham at 7 pm. This will be our last meeting before the actual tournament so it is especially important that all youth members make an effort to attend.
- STYL BBQ – As every year, we will be having a youth barbecue the day after the tournament. This year it will be at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Juby Thomas on Sunday, July 1st at 2 pm.
- Parish Perunal – Our Parish Perunal will be held on Friday, July 6th and Saturday, July 7th. Friday evening we will be having evening prayer followed by a devotional address. Saturday morning at 8 am we will begin morning prayer followed by Holy Qurbana. All are requested to attend.

- MGOCSM Virtual Meeting – In order to address the questions which were not able to be answered at the Aramana visit due to limited time, we will be having a meeting via Google Hangout this Friday June 1st at 7 pm. All youth and FOCUS are encouraged to log on and join the conversation via a link that will be posted on the GroupMe.

The cost for bus and ticket fare is $94 for adults and $64 for children and money is requested by June 24th the latest.
- Next Sunday Change in Schedule – May 20th: Since next Sunday we will be celebrating the Feast of Pentecost, morning prayer will begin at 7:30am. All are requested to attend service on a timely manner.
- PI John’s Book – if any church members did not receive a copy of Mr. P I Johns book, please give your names to Dr. Joshi John to receive a book. This is for all church families whether you came to the function or not.

- Area MGOCSM Event — This Saturday, April 28th there will be an MGOCSM areawide event at Cherry Lane church from 2-6 pm. The theme is “Jesus Christ and the Secrets of the Church” and the main speaker will be Rev Dn Shawn Thomas. - Metropolitan Episcopal Consecration Jubilee Banquet — The Northeast American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church will be hosting a banquet for the Episcopal Silver Jubilee of our beloved Metropolitan, His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos. The formal banquet will be held on the evening of Sunday, August 26, 2018, at The Green Tree Country Club, located at 538 Davenport Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10805. His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, Catholicos of the East & Malankara Metropolitan, will preside over the celebrations. Esteemed leaders from the ecumenical community will also be present on this joyous occasion.
