COVID-19 Update
Please see the update below on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and how it’s affecting our parish.
COVID-19 – Due to the impacts of the novel coronavirus and the current mandate in NY:
- Holy Qurbana on Tuesday, Mar 17th for Mid-Lent service has been canceled.
- All evening prayers, for Wednesdays and Saturdays, are canceled.
- All post church activities are canceled, such as in-person spiritual organization meetings and Sunday School.
- There will be no refreshments after church (when there is service) to reduce interactions among parishioners.
As the situation progresses, we will continue to provide details and guidelines for the parish. Please refer to the links below for additional information:

- Great Lent Begins – Monday, Feb 24th
- Wednesday Evening Prayer – During the Lenten season, there will be evening prayer on Wednesdays at 6:30pm, in addition to Saturday evening prayers.
- Lilio (Midnight) Prayer – During the Great Lent, Lilio prayer will be held at 7:30am every Sunday, with a 15-min break before morning prayer.
- Shoe Placement – Please be sure not to leave your shoes on the basement steps, as this is a safety hazard. There are children and elderly who could trip on them while going downstairs. When entering the church, kindly place your shoes on the shelves constructed or at least in the lobby and out of the pathways.

Weekly Announcements – 02/09/2020
- February Youth Meeting – The first youth meeting of the year will take place Sunday, Feb. 16th at 4pm. The location will be announced next week. Please make all efforts to attend.
- Passing of Mrs. Mariyamma Mathew – the aunt of Mr. Shibu Thomas, last Monday. Please keep the bereaved family in your prayers.
- Sunday School Education Day – The Sunday School will be hosting Education Day for all sunday school students on Saturday, Feb 8th, from 2 to 6pm. Rev. Fr. Andrew Daniel will be our guest speaker. Please remember to give in your $5 registration fee to Amy George or Danniya Samuel.
- Ordering More Holy Qurbana Books – If you would like to order Holy Qurbana or Common Prayer books, please stop by the office to submit your name and requested quantity to the Secretary, along with payment to the Treasurer. The cost of each book is $25.
- Monthly Committee Meeting – There will be a monthly scheduled Committee Meeting next Sunday, January 26th, after Holy Qurbana. All Committee Members are kindly requested to attend.
- Education Day – The Sunday School will be hosting Education Day for all sunday school students on Saturday, February 8th, from 2 to 6pm. Rev. Fr. Andrew Daniel will be our guest speaker. There is a $5 registration fee. Please see Amy George or Danniya Samuel for further details.

- Passing of Mrs. Rachel Varghese – the mother of Mr. Jose Varghese on Wednesday in India. Mr. Jose Varghese has traveled to India to attend the funeral, which took place on Sunday. Please keep the bereaved family in your prayers.
- MGOCSM New Years Conference – The MGOCSM New Years Conference will be held on Saturday, Jan 18th at our parish from 9:30am to 3:30pm. The theme is Inner Warfare, “keeping watch over our thoughts in the New Year” and the main speaker will be our very own, Seminarian Shojil Abraham. - 2020 AJM Tournament Meeting – There will be an Anil John Memorial Basketball tournament meeting on Friday, Jan 17th, at 6:30pm, in the residence of Mr. Samuel P Mathai and family. All youth and focus are requested to attend. Please contact Midhun Kuruvilla or Danniya Samuel for further details.
