St. Andrews Conference – St. Andrew’s Orthodox Church will be hosting a Life After Loss conference on Saturday, June 15th at the Seminary of Immaculate Conception in Huntington, New York. Items accepted are clothing (all genders and types), Handbags / backpacks / stuffed animals / small plastic toys (no puzzles) / board games / legos or toys with small pieces, linens – towels / sheets / blankets etc. New to gently used. Passing of Mr. Varghese Pothachen – the father-in-law of Mr. Cheriyan Abraham and father of Mrs. Susan Cheriyan passed earlier this week. Please keep the bereaving family in your prayers.
Sunday School – First day of Sunday School classes will begin next Sunday, September 15th. Please have all children attend to receive their materials for the upcoming School year. Please keep the Sunday School ministry in your prayers.
Dormition Lent – the Dormition Lent is being observed from August 1st-15th. All members are kindly requested to observe.
Feast of Transfiguration – we will be celebrating Holy Qurbana for the Feast of Transfiguration next Monday at 6:30 PM.All members are kindly requested to make arrangements to attend.
Parish Picnic – the 2019 Parish Picnic was originally scheduled for7/20 but was postponed due to the Extreme Heat Advisory issued for Long Island on that day. The date for the 2019 Parish Picnic is Saturday, August 31st, and all members are requested to make arrangements to attend.
MGOCSM Meeting– There will be a youth meeting on Sunday, August 11th, 4 pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Jibi & Rani Paul. All youth are requested to attend.

OVBS – This year, our church will be hosting OVBS on August 16th and 17th (Friday and Saturday). The theme for this year’s OVBS is “Becoming Friends of Christ.” Registration for both days is only $10. You may register online by July 28th or at the registration table downstairs after service today. For more information, please contact Ms. Angel Sunny.
40th Day of Lent – This Thursday, April 11th, we will be having Holy Qurbana at 6:30PM for the 40th Day of Lent. All members are kindly requested to attend.

Parish Lenten Retreat – We will be having our parish Lenten Retreat next Saturday, April 13th. Confession will start at 10AM and the retreat message will be from 3PM onwards.
CPK Fundraiser – There will be a fundraiser for our parish at the California Pizza Kitchen in Westbury on Friday April 26th. 20% of the profits from all dine-in and take-out sales that day will be donated back to our parish once you show them our flyer. FOCUS and youth members are also encouraged to join for a fellowship dinner at the restaurant at 7 pm. Please see the flyer which will be posted on our church website for more information.
Holy Week Donation – All members are kindly requested to make a donation of $100 to help meet the expenses for Holy Week, the contribution list is posted in the basement for your convenience. Kindly give your donation to the Treasurer as soon as possible.
FOCUS Seminar – Our parish is hosting a one day seminar on Kind & Careful Online Communication for Parents. The seminar will be held on May 4th, from 9:30am to 12:30pm at our parish hall. This seminar will be open to all parents of all ages and friends of the parish to learn about guiding our children through the ever-changing world of technology and social media. Please reach out to FOCUS members regarding registering for this seminar.
